Other places to stay in and around Edinburgh |
Dora and James warmly welcome you to our comfortable home which overlooks the park of Leith Links, home of Leith Rules Golf. Less than 2 miles from the city centre, Crioch is the ideal base for your stay in Edinburgh with unrestricted free car parking and frequent bus services for visiting the Castle, Theatres, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Yacht Britannia, as well as Leith's fine cafes, bars and restaurants locally. Crioch Guest House AccommodationAll rooms have en-suite shower or private bathroom, remote-control colour TV, radio alarm clock and welcome tray with tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and biscuits. Facilities at the Crioch Guest House include: Start your day with Dora's freshly-prepared cooked breakfast - you wont
need lunch, or try a lighter continental breakfast of yoghurt, fresh fruit
salad and a choice of cereals. You must explore Holyrood Park, which is beside the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace at the lower end of the Royal Mile. CRIOCH means 'The end of a long journey' and where better to end any journey than here with us at Crioch Guest House. The house itself is 125 years old with original ornate plaster cornicing and warmly decorated throughout. There is ample parking and we are situated on a bus route. Spanish is also fluently spoken here. Attractions: On a fine day what could be better than touring the city on an opened topped bus which you can hop on and hop off as many times in a day allowing you to enjoy many attractions. Edinburgh Castle sits majestically at the top of the Royal Mile, an impressive site to see, Steeped in history and a thoroughly enjoyable day out for visitors of all ages. The Royal Mile itself is a wondrous attraction, like walking down a cobbled street of history with many attractions on and near the Royal Mile with Holyrood House (The Queens residence when visiting the City) resting at the bottom. The attractions to this city too numerous to mention include galleries,
museums, monuments, parks and so much more. Breakfast is served in our Dining Room, with a choice of full cooked breakfast, continental breakfast or perhaps a hearty bowl of porridge. Please tell us if you have any special requirements like vegetarian only or dairy-free - we will do our best to serve you. You can also relax here in comfort: There are great views like this one: you are standing on Salisbury Craigs looking east over St Margaret's Loch and Arthur's Seat. Turn around and you have great views over the Old Town towards Edinburgh Castle. Further north and west you can see the hills of Fife and the Forth Rail Bridge, looping over the River Forth like a rollercoaster or perhaps a giant iron Loch Ness Monster.
