Edinburgh hotelWelcome to the Cruachan Guest House
Situated in the city centre of Edinburgh, the Cruachan Guest House is only minutes from Edinburgh Castle, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), numerous theatres and the renowned Princes Street.

Cruachan is the war cry of the ancient and royal clan Campbell whose motto reads "NE OBLIVISCARIS" (Do Not Forget) and we are delighted to say that many of our guests still hold to this tradition.

About Edinburgh:
Edinburgh is one of the world's most distinguished and spectacular cities. Its atmospheric medieval Old Town and majestic Georgian New Town have both been designated World Heritage Sites.

Its Festival attracts visitors in their thousands. In or near its centre it boasts world-class art galleries and museums, the renowned Botanic Gardens and an extensive Zoological Park. It is a treasure trove for shoppers in search of anything from rare books and malt whiskies to bagpipes and full Highland dress.

Edinburgh hosts not only great rugby Internationals but many large conferences, the new Scottish Parliament and of course Hogmanay.

Scotland's capital is one of the most rewarding cities in the world. Not only is Edinburgh one of the most historic cities of Europe; it is also one of the most attractive, with architectural glories, such as the new Town and Holyrood House, vying with treasures of the national heritage, such as the vast art collections of the Scottish National Gallery and other great museums of the city.

Edinburgh, however, is much more than even this. Its Festival is world-famous. In addition, there is no city sprawl. Within a few minutes' walk of the city centre can be found the small village communities, oases of quiet calm that have existed in Edinburgh for many centuries.

Cruachan is a small family guest house situated in a quiet rural location about six miles north of Lochinver. A church manse in former days, the house has now been refurbished in recent years to the comfortable levels it now enjoys.
