Getting there:
By Car:

All roads leading into Edinburgh pass a sign directing them to the City Bypass A720.
Take the city bypass A720 to the Sheriff hall roundabout (east end of bypass), then take the A7 Edinburgh road for approx 4 mile to the Cameron Toll roundabout (it has a railway bridge going over the top of it). Again follow the A7 city centre sign and you are now on Dalkeith Road. You will then come to a set of traffic lights at T-junction. Head
through the lights, at the next junction, head through the lights and Spence Street is the second opening on your left opposite the church.

By Bus or Train:
Either take a taxi from the centre which will cost about four Pounds or you can take the local bus from Princes Street. The stop is outside Burtons Department store opposite the Waverley Bridge near the Waverley Train Station.

BUS:- when you come out of St Andrews Square Bus Station follow the direction the buses drive out) turn left into St Andrews Square and walk down to Princes Street (you will see the Waverley Shopping Centre entrance across the Princes Street and you will then see the bus stop outside Burtons Dept Store.

TRAIN:- Either come up the Waverley steps onto Princes Street or come up the taxi ramp onto Waverley Bridge, turn right and walk up onto Princes Street you will then see the bus stop on the shop side of Princes Street.

To Gil Dun from the city center take either the number 14,C3, 33 or a green 86. The fare is £1.20 and you will need exact fare as drivers do not give change. Ask the driver for the stop past the Commonwealth Swimming Pool. If you sit to the left hand side of the bus, you will see the pool and can be ready to get off. You then cross over the road
at the church into Spence Street.

By Air:
From Edinburgh Airport either by Taxi which will cost between £20 and £25 or take the express bus to Waverley Bridge (£3.50 single £6 return). Then follow directions above for Train/Bus. If you get lost at any point find a phone box, take a note of which street you are on, if by car which way the car is pointing, and we will give you easy directions.
