Located at the foot of Arthur’s Seat and the royal Holyrood Park,
the Pollock Halls Campus offers over 2000 rooms during the university’s
Easter and summer vacation.
If you are travelling on your own or in a group Pollock Halls provides
a safe and secure environment to stay in.
Pollock Halls Accommodation
Accommodation can be offered in single standard, single en-suite and
twin en-suite rooms, all booked on a bed and breakfast basis.
Chancellor’s Court offers over 500 modern rooms and has been awarded
3* campus accommodation. Each single and twin en-suite rooms have a Freeview
TV, telephone, internet access, tea/coffee-making facilities.
John Burnett House is the latest addition to Pollock Halls. Each of the
single bedrooms and twin en-suite bedrooms has a Freeview TV, telephone,
internet access, safety deposit box, tea/coffee-making facilities.
The simple single standard rooms provide affordable accommodation, ideal
for those on a strict budget. Each room has a telephone, internet access
and tea/coffee-making facilities.
All rooms are serviced daily and all linen and towels are provided.

On-site amenities include the self-service restaurant within the John
McIntyre Conference Centre, an ATM, a general shop, laundry facilities
and a dedicated Reception Centre.
Pollock Halls is located just over 1 mile from Edinburgh Waverley Train
Station and the historic Old Town, where you’ll find the Royal Mile
which becomes the hub for Edinburgh’s numerous festivals. For the
more energetic visitor Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat are on the
doorstep.
Directions:
Getting There by Car:
From the A720 City of Edinburgh Bypass, take A7 Old Dalkeith Road exit
at the Sheriffhall Roundabout towards the City Centre. Continue straight
for approximately 3 miles. Just past the Royal Commonwealth Pool at the
lights, turn right onto Holyrood Park Road. Pollock Halls is the second
turning on the right.
Getting There by Railway:
From Edinburgh's main railway station - Waverley, we recommend guests
take a taxi for the short 5 minute journey to Pollock Halls. There is
also a frequent public coach service from North Bridge (bus numbers: 3,
21, 33, or 86). You should disembark at the Royal Commonwealth Swimming
Pool in Dalkeith Road and walk the 100 yards or so to Pollock Halls.
Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Edinburgh Airport, for 2 or more passengers, we recommend a taxi
for the 8 mile journey to Pollock Halls (cost approx. £17-20). Alternatively,
take the Airport Shuttle Bus to the city terminal on Waverley Bridge.
From here take a taxi to the Pollock Halls or proceed to North Bridge
and from the first bus stop heading south, take a bus to the Royal Commonwealth
Pool, Dalkeith Road (numbers: 14, 30, 33, 86). From here, Pollock Halls
is a short walk down Holyrood Park Road.
