Ten minutes walk from Princes Street, we are a few hundred yards from
the Playhouse Theatre, a Virgin Active gym with pool within the newly
built Vue Cinema complex and dozens of restaurants and shops.
A mainly organic breakfast of porridge, eggs, cereals, my own homemade
bread, marmalade, preserves, compote, fresh fruit and yogurt is included,
as well as freshly made espresso or latte coffee.
Loch Fyne kippers are offered if you let me know in advance. A range of
hot drinks can also be made in the room.

Getting There by Car:
From Edinburgh city centre head east towards Leith along Queen Street.
Continue down Leith Walk to the second roundabout with the clock in the
centre. Turn right down London Road, second left into Hillside Crescent,
second left again into Hillside Street.
Drive to the bottom and park in the street. It is normally no problem
to find somewhere to park but you will need to display a ticket during
the week. Weekend parking is free. No 4 Hillside Street is the green door
beside the corner shop. Bell 6.
Getting There by Railway:
Alight at Waverley Station, central Edinburgh. Taxi: the 5-minute ride
will cost approx £4. Walking: take the Carlton Road exit from station,
go up the slope to main road and turn right onto Leith Street, if you
can pass the glass Omni Centre and go to the round abound.
Turn right into London Road, second left into Hillside Crescent and second
left again down Hillside Street. No 4 is the green door at the far end
of the street next to the corner shop. Bell 6.
Getting there by Aeroplane:
Take Airlink Bus Service 100 (blue buses) to Waverley Station. Taxi to
4 Hillside Street will cost approx £4. Walking: go up the slope
to Princes Street and turn right then left after the Balmoral Hotel down
Leith Street. Straight down Leith Walk to the second roundabout with the
clock in the centre.
Turn right down London Road. Turn second left into Hillside Crescent and
second left again into Hillside Street. No 4 is the green door at the
