Welcome
to Rowan Guest House, Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast.
Rowan Guest House is situated in a leafy conservation area a little over
a mile from the city centre.
It is located just off the main A.701 road from the south, with easy
access to the town centre, yet its quiet location, tucked away from traffic
noise, gives a peaceful night's sleep.
Look no further if you need a quiet guest house in Edinburgh. If you
are arriving by car, we have free unrestricted parking outside the house,
so you can leave your car here and use the excellent bus service just
a short walk away.
Rowan Guest House Accommodation
The house was built in 1880 for a Victorian merchant and still retains
many original features. We have a variety of accommodation to suit all
price budgets and are also one of the few guest houses in the city to
have three single rooms.
All rooms have television, tea/coffee facilities, radio clock alarm and
hairdryer. We can also supply an iron and ironing board, ice for your
drinks, arrange a taxi for your journey and give advice on how to get
the most from your visit.
For those of you with laptops, there is free wi-fi internet access available
in all rooms.
We serve a large Scottish breakfast each morning including
porridge and freshly baked scones.
If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements, mention this
on arrival and we will happily cater to your needs.
Breakfast is normally served between 8a.m. and 9 a.m, or a little earlier
if you wish, however, for those of you needing a particularly early start,
a continental breakfast may be arranged.
Rowan House is well located for all tourist attractions including
the Castle, Holyrood Palace, and the Royal Mile.
All University of Edinburgh departments are within walking distance, as
are The Royal College of Surgeons, The Queen's Hall and the Festival Theatre.
Eating out in Edinburgh these days is a complete treat. Outside of London,
there are more restaurants, per head of the population, than anywhere
else in the U.K. Locally there are Scottish/European, Indian, Chinese,
Thai, Italian and Turkish establishments.
Whether you are here on holiday or business, let us extend a warm welcome
to Edinburgh and Rowan Guest House.
