Getting there from the Information Centre
Lothian bus no. 10 – direction Bonaly / Torphin - from Princes St;
Alight Polwarth. (Granville Terrace). Or Lothian bus no 27 – direction
Hunters Tryst - from the Mound, outside National Gallery. Alight Polwarth.(Granville
Terrace).
Getting There by Car
From South:
Come into the City via A702. If using A1, A7, A68, A701, take City Bypass,
A720 , direction West. Exit at Lothianburn Junction.
Follow direction City Centre, straight into town via Biggar Rd, Comiston
Rd, and up Morningside Road. At the top of Morningside Road (Holy Corner
– large Church on right, Bank of Scotland, Tesco and Starbucks left
ahead) take left filter at traffic lights, into Colinton Rd. Almost immediate
first right past Starbucks into Merchiston Avenue. Continue to the bottom,
crossing Merchiston Place and Granville Terrace, to the last house on
the right at the bottom. Parking in driveway.
From North and West, make for City Bypass, A720, direction East, and exit
at Lothianburn Junction.
Getting There by Railway:
Bus or taxi from Waverley Station. Lothian bus 27 direction Hunters Tryst,
or no 10 direction Bonaly/Torphin. Alight at Polwarth, (Granville Terrace)
cross the road and turn down right into Merchiston Avenue. The house is
the third on the right, with trees.
(If travelling light, can alight at Haymarket station and walk via Dalry
Road (towards town out of the station, right at the traffic lights), Orwell
Terrace, through the underpass (Telford Walk), across Dundee St., bear
right along Dundee St, left up Yeaman Place, cross canal, left into Mechiston
Avenue. Or get a taxi.)
Getting there by Aeroplane
Airport bus to Edinburgh City Centre, then bus or taxi as above. (Can
also alight from airport bus at Haymarket Station, as above).
