The Crescent is an elegant Victorian house, retaining a wealth of original character but with all modern comforts.

We offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with attention to detail and luxury, suitable for leisure and business guests alike.

The Crescent Accommodation

We have 5 letting rooms consisting of 1 family room, 1 twin room, 3 double rooms.
Rooms have TV/ DVD, with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, iron and board on request.
Available are 3 en suite rooms with private bathroom.

Groups are welcome, as well as children.

A regular bus service leaves from outside the The Crescent and takes just a few minutes to Princes Street and The Royal Mile.

A continental/cooked breakfast is available, for an additional surcharge.

Arrangements can also be made for an airport transfer. Please advise us prior to travelling.

We also arrange day tours to the Loch Ness and Loch Lomond in the famous Scottish Highlands. These tours run literally throughout the year.

For Friday or saturday arrivals a minimum 2 night stay. A minimum 2 nights for all days of August.

About The Crescent:
The Crescent is an elegant Victorian house, built as a family home in 1875, set on a sunny corner in an attractive garden.
The three-storey house is full of original features - a mosaic-tiled vestibule, high ceiling with ornate cornicing and a cupola which lights the top floor and staircase.
We offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, suitable for leisure and business guests alike.

Free Transfer:
· We are keen to make our guests stay in Edinburgh go as smoothly as possible.
· To make your journey easier we offer a free collection from local bus and train terminals. We Can also arrange collection from Edinburgh Airport with prior arrangement at additional cost.
Location:
Situated approximately a mile from the heart of Edinburgh, Crescent is an ideal base for exploring not only the historic and vibrant city centre but also the surrounding countryside and other attractions.

Directions:
· By road

From the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720), join the A701, following signs to the City Centre.
At a major junction, next to Cameron Toll shopping centre, this part of the A701 changes its name from Liberton Road to Craigmillar Park. Approximately ½ mile after this junction turn left at the traffic lights into West Mayfield. Then turn left again into Mayfield Road. The Crescent (No. 19) is about 50 yards on the left at the corner of Brights Crescent. The entrance to the car park is in Brights Crescent.
· By rail
A taxi from Waverley Station would normally cost about £5 to The Crescent.
· By air
The airport is about 8 miles away. Take the airport bus to the city centre at Waverley Station and then take a taxi to The Crescent.
· Buses from the City Centre
The number 42 bus from Hanover Street or The Mound (outside the National Gallery) runs past The Crescent Guest House and takes less than 10 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at Mayfield Church.
