Your host Mrs Margaret Simson provides traditional scottish breakfast
as well as continental and vegetarian in a relaxed setting.
Thistle Dhu has it's own free private and off street parking and a lovely
spacious garden to the rear which guests are welcome to use, there is
a large conservatory where you can relax after breakfast and plan your
day or journey.

FAMILY ROOM: This room is made up of one double and
one single bed in an attached annex.This rooms is situated at the front
of the house on the upper floor.
This room is very bright and spacious. This room has it's own modern ensuite
bathroom with a shower and comes with a hospitality tray including tea
& coffee making facilities.
TWIN ROOM 1: This room features two large single beds.
This rooms is situated at the back of the house on the upper floor, and
is bright and spacious.
This room has it's own modern ensuite bathroom with a shower and comes
with a hospitality tray including tea & coffee making facilities.
TWIN ROOM 2: Located at the back of the house on the
ground floor, this recently refurbished twin bedroom features the latest
flat screen tv, leather recliners and two large single beds.
This room has it's own ensuite bathroom with a shower and comes with a
hospitality tray including tea & coffee making facilities.
*we can also provide a hairdryer, iron and ironing board for guests
free of charge on request*
DINING ROOM: Enjoy a full freshly cooked Scottish breakfast
in our bright dining room which backs into to the conservatory lounge
area. This area is tastefully decorated to make you feel right at home!
CONSERVATORY / LOUNGE: The modern, bright conservatory
/ lounge area is available to guests and features a large plasma tv, comfy
seats and reading material. On a nice day guests are welcome to relax
in the garden.

Thistle Dhu Bed and Breakfast is a 3 star comfortable non smoking detached
family bungalow conveniently located on the main Glasgow Road A8, 4 miles
from Edinburgh city centre and 2 miles from Edinburgh Airport / Ingliston,
2 miles from Edinburgh Zoo and 3 miles from Murrayfield stadium, there
is an excellent bus service to the city centre and the airport.
There is a good variety of restaurants within walking distance, also
there is a the gyle shopping centre only a 10 minute walk away which has
over 50 shops and a food court upstairs, everything from Next to Marks
and Spencers.
Edinburgh is a vibrant city to see at any time of the year, but especially
during the Edinburgh Festival. We are a very handy b&b for the Royal
Highland Show, held nearby at Ingliston.

Thistle Dhu B&B is located very close to the Edinburgh airport and
the corstophine area of Edinburgh. It is also very handy for Edinburgh
Zoo, Gyle Shopping Centre, Heriot Watt University, Ingliston, Murrayfield
rugby stadium and the Royal Highland Show ground.
Murrayfield Rugby Stadium - Murrayfield stadium is the
home of the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU), and is primarily used as a venue
for rugby union and hosts most of Scotland's home test matches, as well
as the Edinburgh Sevens, the Scottish Hydro Electric Cup final, as well
as Magners League and Heineken Cup matches. The stadium is considered
an icon of Scottish rugby.

annual Military tattoo given by British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and
International military bands and display teams in the Scottish capital

By Bus: There are many buses passing our door every few
minutes, with the stop being less than a minute's walk.
By Rail: Edinburgh Waverley is around five miles / 20
minutes by taxi.
By Air: Edinburgh Airport is only 5 minutes by taxi.
