Situated one mile south of Elgin, it stands detached within 13 acres.
The totally secluded grounds with large lawns and fine mature woodland
is a haven for wildlife including red squirrels and buzzards.
The benefit of a large sun room, formal drawing room and dining room,
ensures it accommodates larger groups perfectly.
Mayne House Accommodation
Mayne House is fully equipped to accommodate up to 12 people. Linen and
towels are provided and beds are made up for your arrival. There is eco-friendly
log central heating, which can be as warm as you like from October to
April.

In addition to self-catering facilities, we can provide food for all tastes
from gourmet meals to simple family fare. We ask guests to notify us before
arrival if this service is required.
Visitors can explore at their leisure the private lawns and woodland
which surround the property.
There are a wealth of activities to be enjoyed in this area renowned for
its sunny climate and many excellent golf courses are close at hand.
Sailing and other water sports can be enjoyed at Lossiemouth and Findhorn.
Location:
The lively market town of Elgin still has its medieval street plan, with
a cobbled marketplace. Superb shopping, cinema and good restaurants can
also be found in Elgin.
The surrounding area boasts many sandy beaches with some of the best to
be found in Lossiemouth and Findhorn, and of course the Moray Firth dolphins
are a popular attraction for visitors to this area.
Castles, stately homes and distilleries are abundant as well as good walking,
most notably on the Speyside Way and traffic-free cycling can also be
enjoyed. Inverness is within easy driving distance. There is fishing on
the River Spey and Findhorn. Shop 1 mile.

Directions:
By car
On entering Elgin from Forres on A96 take the first right into Wittet
Drive then take the third right turn into Mayne Road. Cross the railway
bridge and fork left into the driveway after about half a mile. Proceed
down the drive past the greenhouses to Mayne House.
By rail:
Take train to Elgin Station. Taxi rank is outside the station. Direct
driver to Mayne House which is next to Mayne Farm over the railway bridge
at the lower end of Mayne Road.
By plane:
Inverness airport is about 1 hour by car from Elgin. Aberdeen airport
is 1.5 hrs. from Elgin by car. If car is not hired it is possible to get
to Elgin by either bus or train from either airport.
