to Trochelhill Country House Bed and Breakfast.
We are situated in beautiful Speyside, 2 miles out of Fochabers, with
uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside and Ben Aigen.
Trochelhill is a large Victorian country house lovingly restored with many original features, set in 1 1/2acres of mature gardens.
On arrival you will be greeted with refreshment and home made cake in the dining room or maybe on the patio in the afternoon sun.
We have 1 twin and 2 queen size bedrooms all ensuite with separate freestanding
bath and walk in shower, all tastefully decorated for you to enjoy.
Breakfast is served in the dining room between 7.30am and 9 am or earlier
by arrangement.
All our food is fresh and sourced locally, wherever possible.
Trochelhill Country House Accommodation
All bedrooms are provided with wall mounted digital LCD TV’s,
tea and coffee, hair dryers, complementary toiletries, luxury towels and
crisp white bed linen.
The dining room boasts a Queen Anne dining table and chairs, an original
marble fireplace with a wood burning stove, 3 piece suite for you to relax
in the evening if you wish. Free wi-fi internet access is also provided.
The garden has mature trees, lawns and flowerbeds, and a patio area,
where you can relax and enjoy the late afternoon and evening.
Ample private parking is available within the grounds.
Please note that all rooms are strictly no smoking.
A half tester queen bed situated so as to see out of
the large picture window to the front garden and across to Ben Aigen.
Luxury ensuite bathroom with a sensuous shaped bath, which invites long
soaks by candlelight. A walk in shower, pedestal wash hand basin and wc
complete this superior bathroom.
A Queen size ornate wood bed placed so you can view the gardens and open
countryside from the 2 large picture windows, which make this a light
and open room. A superior ensuite bathroom with roll top bath, walk in
shower, pedestal wash hand basin and wc complement this bedroom.
This twin room has 2 large picture windows from which
you look out to open fields and forest and the side garden. The ensuite
bathroom boasts a slipper bath for a relaxing soak, a walk in shower,
pedestal wash hand basin and wc.
Things to do and places to visit:
There is something to suit everyone along the Moray coast and Speyside.
Fochabers is a key stopping off point on the route of the Speyside Way,
it boasts a fine Georgian church, Gordon Chapel and a folk museum.
Baxters a family run soup and food manufacturing business since 1868.
Baxters highland village has an excellent visitors centre and good quality
restaurant. Fochabers also host the famous
Speyfest in July and August, a festival of traditional and contemporary
celtic music.
We are 5 minutes from the River Spey renowned for its famous salmon fishing,
and 10 minutes from Spey Bay where you might be lucky enough to see dolphins,
seals, otters and ospreys who frequent this beautiful coastal setting.
We live in the heart of the famous Whisky and Castle Trails and there
are many wonderful walks and cycle routes in the surrounding area.
Golf courses are in abundance from amateur to challenging professional.
There are many day trips by car, too numerous to mention, although we
are happy to make suggestions. We have a selection of brochures, leaflets
and information for guests.
