A small but unique venue showcasing the history of the Caledonian Canal
from its beginnings to its present day. Browse through our gifts. Open
April - October.
The Clansman Centre:
Shop selling Celtic jewellery and crafts. Turf-House museum – Living
shows – how people lived – food they ate. Demonstrations of
Clan weaponry. Dress up as a man and woman in old Highland dress and re-live
the life of Highlanders pre Culloden 1746. Photographs with question and
answer sessions.
Cruise Loch Ness:

depart daily, all year round from the Caledonian Canal in the Centre of
Fort Augustus. 1 hour cruises on the hi-tech Royal Scot and 90 - 180 min

Caledonian Canal:
Telfords famous canal completed in 1822. Joins various lochs together
from Fort William to Inverness. Watch the boats go up and down the flight
of locks from Loch Ness onto the Canal.

Old Oich River Bridge:
A listed monument. The Fort Augustus Preservation Trust are currently
raising funds to fully restore the bridge in the very near future.
