Fort Augustus is a small village at the southern end of Loch Ness on the Caledonian Canal. The Caledonian Canal, connecting Corpach near Fort William with Clachnaharry in Inverness, was completed in 1822. It is over 60 miles long, but more than two thirds of its length consists of three connected lochs - Loch Ness, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy.

Mavisburn is set in a peaceful and relaxing location, with glorious views
of the Great Glen Mountain range and farmland from our guest lounge and
breakfast room.
The location is ideal to make your base to tour from, as we are centrally
placed for the Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye; The Cairngorm mountain
range; Fort William and Inverness, and of course the Whisky trail, which
are all within easy reach.

Our Rooms:
Each of our rooms have hospitality trays, hairdryers, flat screen TVs
and DVD players. We have a selection of DVDs which our guests are welcome
to borrow and they can be found in the lounge/breakfast room, along with
a selection of books and magazines.
Each bathroom has a small selection of basic toiletries for our guests
use.
As our single room is not en-suite and, although the private shower room
is directly opposite the bedroom, we supply a bath robe for our guests
to use during their stay.
