Fort William HotelsThis historic building in Banavie dates from 1850, once forming part of the Lochiel Arms Hotel. With views of Ben Nevis, and adjacent to the Caledonian Canal, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

More precisely you can find their 4-star hostel just north of Fort William, and served by regular local buses and trains. They are just 2½ miles from the end of the West Highland Way, and only 100m from the Great Glen Way.

They are Scotland's newest Backpackers' Hostel, serving the accommodation needs of all independent travellers.

Enjoy a fantastic break to the Scottish Highlands. Be inspired with superb views of Ben Nevis. Take an evening walk along the banks of the Caledonian Canal and Neptune's Staircase... or enjoy a glass of wine or beer on the patio.

Accommodation is in comfortable solid pine bunk beds, in dorms from four to eight persons and we have a total of 49 beds in the hostel.

Chase the Wild Goose Hostel Location

Getting there from the Information Centre
Take the number 45 bus towards Corpach. Ask to be dropped off at Banavie. Cross the road into Banavie, walk for about 50m, and the hostel is signposted on the left. Bus Fare is £1.20 each. Taxi Fare is about £5 - it may be cheaper to take a taxi if there are several people travelling
Getting There by Railway
Take the train to Banavie station, or to Fort William, then catch a local bus. Come out of the station, cross the main road and the canal. After about 50m, turn right into Banavie. After another 50m, the hostel is signposted on the left.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Fly in to Glasgow (GLA or PIK) or Inverness (INV). Take Train to Banavie, or National Bus to Fort William
