Glenshian is ideally located as a base for touring the area, as there is plenty to do. Easily accessible trips include Ardnamurchan, Glencoe, Oban, Mallaig, Loch Ness, Mull and Skye. Walkers of all abilities are spoilt for choice.
For the skier or snowboarder Aonach Mor with its unique gondola system is close by. Cyclists are also well catered for from the Great Glen Cycle route and quiet country roads to off-road biking.

From Fort William take A82 going north towards Inverness to traffic light
junction for Mallaig - turn left on to A830 - after canal bridge turn
right on to B8004 to Gairlochy. Pass Moorings Hotel. Glenshian on right
just before end of speed limit. Blue sign outside.
Getting There by Railway
From Fort William leave station Safeways side, taxi rank outside, ask
for Glenshian, Banavie. 3 miles from Fort William. A82 Inverness at traffic
lights by Ben Nevis Distillery turn left on to A830 to Mallaig. After
canal bridge turn right on to B8004 to Gairlochy, pass Moorings Hotel.

Getting there by Aeroplane
From Glasgow cross Erskine Bridge, pick up A82 to Fort William 90 miles.
Pass through Fort William A82, at traffic lights by distillery turn left
on to A830 Mallaig. After canal bridge turn right B8004 to Gairlochy pass
Moorings Hotel, Glenshian on right just before end of speed limit. Blue
sign outside.
Getting There by Ferry
Leave Mallaig on A830 to Fort William. After Corpach turn left on to B8004
to Gairlochy (just before Canal Bridge), pass Moorings Hotel. Glenshain
