Fort William HotelsHawthorn is a 100-year-old detached house on the banks of the River Lochy, on the outskirts of Fort William. The house has good views of Ben Nevis, Aonach Mhor, Glen Nevis and surrounding hills.

A short walk away is the 'Tail Race' - a renowned spot for fishermen, with lovely walks by the Lochy and Old Inverlochy Castle. The Great Glen Walk route passes Hawthorn on its way to the Caledonian Canal and Neptunes Staircase and onwards to Inverness.

Hawthorn is on the B8006, 2 miles north of Fort William. There are pubs, restaurants, shops and various tourist attractions close by. The bus stop is 50 yards away, giving access to the main bus and rail routes in Fort William. A great central location for hill walking, climbing, mountain biking and sight seeing.

Take A82 north of Fort William. Turn left at traffic lights onto the A830 to Mallaig. Take 1st left onto the B8006 Caol/Lochyside. Travel 500 yards and Hawthorn is on the right immediately before the pelican crossing

Inverness airport - A96 to Inverness - A82 to Lochybridge - A830 Mallaig Take 1st left onto B8006. Hawthorn is on the right immediately before the pelican crossing.
Getting There by Ferry
From Mallaig take A830 to Fort William. Take B8006 at Lochaber high School. from Oban take A828 north to Fort William, then follow A82 north from Fort William, turn left at traffic lights onto the A830 Mallaig. Take 1st left onto the B8006 Caol/Lochyside. Hawthorn is on the 500yards on the right hand side of the road immediately before the pelican crossing
