Fort William HotelsWorld famous for the scenery, quality of life and warm hospitality, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland boast some of the most stunning, unspoilt landscape in the world.

Long sandy beaches, dramatic mountains and cliffs, ancient forests, deer-studded moors, crofts, lochs, and glens contribute to a unique vista.

Boasting the title of "Outdoor Capital of the UK" the area is a Mecca for outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts with everything from surfing, yachting, mountaineering, walking, white water rafting and diving to ice climbing and skiing.

Shooting and fishing are world class and the Scots claim the invention of golf with several world championship courses.

If all that sounds a bit energetic, there's plenty of comfort to be had from taking in the views before watching the glorious sunset from behind a glass of single malt beside a cosy log fire.

The Highlands and Islands boast some of the brightest talents in music, literature, dance and the visual arts. Cultivated and supported within vibrant local communities, these talents can be enjoyed at many festivals and events, including the popular Highland Games.
