Tower Ridge House provides a true taste of Highland living!Standing in 1.5 acres of ground and surrounded by stunning scenery, with Ben Nevis as the backdrop to our home, we are sure you will experience the true taste of the Highlands in this relaxed and tranquil setting, a place to rest after a day of exploring; a place where we can guarantee you will take home some wonderful memories! We are ideally situated for walking, cycling, climbing and skiing. Located in the village of Torlundy only 3 miles from Fort William on the A82 or by using the recently completed Fort William-Torlundy cycle way which crosses the foot of the drive, this is an ideal base to explore Lochaber and the Highlands on foot, by bike or relaxing in the comfort of your car, soaking up the atmosphere and breath-taking scenery that is some of the most spectacular to be found in the world. We offer 4 rooms, 2 rooms that can be super- king doubles or twin rooms
and 2 family rooms that can accommodate up to four people. All our rooms
have a clean and contemporary feel to them and all have ensuite showers
and bathrooms. There is plenty to do all year round to make your stay a memorable one! Rooms & Rates In our hallway we have a collection of DVD’s for the young and old alike and for those who like to read we have a small collection of books! We have a lot of leaflets for you to plan your stay with us, from walking routes to maps of the area. There is also lots of information on places where you might like to eat. You will also find a hairdryer and a complementary drinks tray with a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolates. You will find crisp white fluffy towels in the ensuite rooms and we supply organic products, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, made by the Highland Soap Company and are suitable for both Ladies and Gentlemen! All our rooms have blackout blinds for those bright sunny mornings. They are happy to accommodate families into their home and can provide highchairs and cots for the little ones in the family. When guest sit in our breakfast room they can enjoy the view of Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range from the comfort of their chairs, whilst sampling some of the tastes of Scotland, from a bowl of steaming hot porridge to the delicate taste of local Smoked Salmon and Scrambled egg, along with cereals, yogurts and a wide variety of fruits (whatever is in season) to a full cooked Scottish breakfast and from continental teas and cafetieres of coffee, with chilled fruit juices of orange, apple and grapefruit. We can also provide packed lunches for those who like to be out in country for the day, please let us know the evening before! We feel that we provide everything that guests need and expect from their holiday!
Attractions in the Fort William areaFort William is the outdoor capital of the UK with so many activities for all ages. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is held here each year in June, attracting professionals and spectators from around the world to enjoy the thrill of downhill biking at its best. There is a wide range of cycle tracks across Fort William, where you will find 25 miles of tracks in the Leanachan Forest which can be accessed from behind our house. In the forest you will find plenty of Wildlife, from Golden Eagles, Red Squirrels, Red Deer and also the allusive Pine martin. Take a guided tour by the Scottish National Trust, who can’t guarantee you will spot these animals but you will learn so much about the Forest and their habitat. On wet days you can visit The West Highland Museum, which is in Cameron Square in the middle of Fort William High Street, and here you will be able to catch up on the history and events which has put Fort William firmly on the historical map! Or take a trip out to Achnacarry and the Clan Cameron museum and learn
about how 35,000 Royal Marine Commandoes were train here for their part
in the Second World War, especially for the D-Day Landings. Follow the
Road to the Isles signpost and turn right passed Neptune’s Staircase
to Gairlcohy and then there will be a signpost to the Clan Cameron museum,
