The Botanic Gardens has beautifully cultivated gardens, glass houses with
botanical wonders and walks by the River Kelvin. The Gardens are in the
heart of the West End and are accessable from Great Western Road, Queen
Margaret Drive, Kirklee Circus and The Kelvin Walkway. The gardens are
generally open to the public all the time.

The West End Restaurant and Piano Bar is situated at the Botanic Gardens
end of Byres Road. Enjoy relaxing decor, entertainment and a It offers

Ashton Lane:
Ashton Lane is around the corner from Byres Road Underground Station and
is home to popular bars, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The cobbled lane

Oran Mor is situated at the top of Byres Road and opposite The Botanic

Directions:
From Glasgow International Airport
1. Exit motorway at junction 17 signposted Dunbarton.
2. Keep right following A82 signpost.
3. Give way from the RHS onto Great Western Road.
4. Drive along Great Western Road for about 1.5 miles till reaching main
junction. Turn right onto Queen Margaret Drive.
5. Drive for 0.25 miles keeping left, crossing over mini-roundabout, then
immediately crossing over bridge at River Kelvin.
6. Take first left into Kelvin Drive.
7. Ambassador Hotel and Embassy Apartments are on immediate RHS.
From North Glasgow/Edinburgh:
1. Exit motorway at junction 17 on the LHS labelled Dunbarton A82.
2. At exit keep right and then turn right at immediate traffic lights.
3. Drive along Great Western Road for about 1.5 miles till reaching main
junction. Turn right onto Queen Margaret Drive.
4. Drive for 0.25 miles keeping left, crossing over mini-roundabout, then
immediately crossing over bridge at River Kelvin, Take first left into
Kelvin Drive.

Pedestrian from Hillhead Underground Station:
1. On leaving underground station turn right.
2. Walk up Byres Road in northwest direction heading towards Botanic Gardens.
