An ideal apartment for a holiday in the Cairngorms National Park, the Highlands of Scotland. A first floor 3 bedroom self-catering accommodation apartment in the Scottish Highlands, originally built of local granite in 1900 and completely renovated in 2006. Located in the town of Grantown on Spey in the Scottish Highlands it is entirely self contained and is accessed via an entry phone system. The holiday apartment is conveniently located and is within easy walking distance to the Grantown golf course, woodlands, shops, bars and restaurants. The self-catering apartment is available for rentals on a weekly basis for a vacation, holiday and short breaks. Apartment 3 Waterford AccommodationThe holiday apartment itself is spacious, comfortably furnished and well equipped with superb views overlooking The Square to the front and the Cromdale Hills to the rear. This is a well equipped first floor self catering, holiday apartment located in the tree lined square of Grantown on Spey. The self-catering accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower-room), 1 twin bedroom, bathroom, large kitchen/dining room and lounge. The lounge, twin bedroom and master double bedroom overlook The Square and hills beyond and the kitchen bathroom and second double bedroom have views to the Cromdale Hills. The apartment hot water and heating is supplied by electric heating and it is double glazed throughout. Master Bedroom: This room contains a double bed (210x140cm), bedside tables and lights, chest of drawers, double built in wardrobe and an ensuite shower-room, toilet, heated towel rail and wash basin. Bedroom 2: This room contains a double bed (210x140cm), bedside tables
and lights and triple built in wardrobe. The lounge is comfortably equipped with 2 two-seater leather sofas and two leather chairs, coffee table, standard lights, 28inch colour TV and DVD player. The Dining area consists of an extendable dining table that seats 6 (unextended). The kitchen area has numerous storage cupboards, oven, hob, extractor, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, cooking utensils and all the usual kitchen cooking equipment. The spacious bathroom contains, bath with shower screen and electric shower, toilet, heated towel rail and wash basin. There is a lockable storage shed at the back of the apartment that is ideal for storing bicycles, golf clubs or skiing equipment. Activities and Attractions Grantown on Spey is within the Cairngorms National Park and is a great base for all local activities such as skiing, golfing, fishing, hill walking, mountain biking, white water rafting, canoeing and bird watching. The holiday apartment is a good base being located in the centre of this quiet town within walking distance of numerous cafes, bars and restaurants offering a wide range of meals, drinks and snacks to suit all tastes and pockets. Skiing - Snowboarding White Water Rafting Golf Though not long, it presents a fair challenge for every calibre of golfer. It is naturally split into three distinct sections - Holes 1 to 6 are played over flat parkland, holes 7 to 12 through moderately hilly woodland, whilst holes 13 to 18 reverts to undulating parkland. Craggan Mill: 2 miles from the apartment. Craggan is now an 18 hole course of 2406 medal yards. Designed by Bill Mitchell of the PGA the first nine holes were opened in 1995 and the extension was opened in 2000. And many more... Fishing Mountain Biking Walking The main path between Buckpool and Aviemore is 65 miles long and tends to follow the course of the River Spey. There are also two spurs off the main path, of 15 miles to Tomintoul and of 4 miles to Dufftown. The Speyside Way passes within 400m of the apartment. For the hill walkers there are many walks in the Cromdale Hills or the Cairngorms. Wildlife Whisky Trail Grantown Museum The square in Grantown acts as the centre for many events such as motor rallies, classic car events and the celebrated New Year party with Highland dancing and fireworks. This is a great location for a self-catering holiday in the Cairngorm National Park having the advantages of being within easy walking distance of amenities and centrally situated for touring. Why not bring your dogs, it is a great place for walks. All in all this is great self-catering accommodation in a good location for touring the Scottish Highlands, relaxing, golfing, walking and enjoying your vacation or holiday home.
