Netherfield

Netherfield Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
Netherfield has two spacious first floor letting rooms - Cromdale and
Cairngorm. Netherfield is a strictly a No Smoking home.
Cromdale
This extremely comfortable and airy room, with spectacular views towards
the Braes of Cromdale, can be used as a double or twin, or can accommodate
up to 4 persons. 1 King size bed & 2 Single beds Cromdale also has:

Cairngorm
As the name suggests, this room has views towards the magnificent Cairngorm

A Guest’s sitting area is set between the two upstairs rooms, which

Breakfast
Your choice of breakfast will be taken the evening before and served in
the guest's dining room between 8 and 9am. (An earlier time if previously
arranged). Foods are locally sourced where possible. Please give advance
notice of any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to
accommodate them.

Area Attractions
Why not explore Speyside with it's ancient Caledonian pines, sparkling
lochs, lazily winding River Spey, sweeping moors and towering Cairngorm
Mountains. It's home to an abundance of speciality birds including Capercaillie,
Golden Eagle, Crested Tit, Scottish Crossbill, Ptarmigan, Slavonian Grebe
and many more.
You could see a Red or Roe Deer as well as those elusive mammals Pine
Marten, Red Squirrel and Badger and a ride to the Moray Firth coastline
can reveal real stars like Bottlenose Dolphins ... all this is right on
our doorstep.
There's plenty to do with a wide variety of activities available for
all ages and abilities:
Walking
Numerous local walks plus walks leaflets available from the Tourist Information
Centres in Grantown on Spey and Aviemore and from Rothiemurchus.
Biking
Excellent routes for all levels of expertise - easy tracks for those who
wish to enjoy the scenery to more advanced which will thrill even the
most proficient rider - guided bike trails and bike hire available locally
from Craggan Outdoors.
Wildlife Watching
April to August, visit the Ospreys at RSPB Loch Garten and see Pine Martens
and Badgers in the evening at Speyside Wildlife's exclusive hide near
Aviemore.
Fishing
With some of the best Salmon, Sea and Brown Trout fishing on the River
Spey, day rod licenses are available from Strathspey Estate and the fishing
shop in Grantown also sells licenses and offers tackle for sale or hire.
Loch fishing is available at Rothiemurchus and locally there's Craggan
Outdoors.
Water Sports
Available on nearby lochs where you can hire equipment and tuition is
available Loch Insh, Loch Morlich and also at Craggan Outdoors.
Pony Trekking
On Rothiemurchus where you'll trek through fantastic Highland scenery
or at the Stables in Carrbridge or at Craggan Outdoors.
Clay Shooting
Try this sport at Rothiemurchus where full instruction and equipment is
available. Also available locally at Craggan Outdoors.
Quad Trekking
Exciting and fun at Rothiemurchus or Craggan Outdoors.
Sleddog Trekking
The only Sleddog Museum of its kind in the UK, based in Glenmore Forest,
offering kennel tours and the chance to lead your own 12-dog team on a

Cairngorm Mountain and the Lecht offer winter skiing and snowboarding.

There are 2 restaurants within a 5-minute walk of Netherfield, both of
which require a telephone call to reserve a table before visiting. Further
afield You will find several good restaurants just a few miles away in
Grantown on Spey and Aviemore.
You can be as energetic as you want or just unwind .........the choice
is yours.
DIRECTIONS
Travelling from the South:
Take the A9 north from Perth to Inverness. Turn off the A9 onto the A95
signpost to Carrbridge (North of Aviemore). Follow Grantown-on-Spey signs
and after 9.5 miles turn left at the sign for Dulnain Bridge , at The
Riverside Restaurant (before the bridge), turn left signposted Skye of
Curr. Netherfield is 500 yds on the right, just past the hotel.
Travelling from the North:
Take the A9 south from Inverness towards Perth. Turn off left at the A938
signpost to Carrbridge At the Carrbridge Hotel take left fork signposted
to Grantown-on-Spey; after approx 6 miles you enter Dulnain Bridge, turn
right over the bridge and right again signposted Skye of Curr. Netherfield
is 500 yds on the right, just past the hotel.
