Whitestone is in a pretty rural location, very distinctive property surrounded by open countryside with spectacular views of the Speyside valley. Adjacent to the Tormore distillery. Recently refurbished by developers only four years ago. Leading up the property is sweeping driveway which is flanked by well maintained gardens. The living room has leather sofas, a HD TV , coffee table , and oak style furnishings, with oil fired heating and also a multi fuel burner - this room is ideal for snuggling up with a hot drink or glass of wine after a busy day exploring the area. With dual aspect windows the room is bright and airy. And has fantastic views. We love the area and hope that you will too: exploring and discovering the amenities including the Cairngorms National Park, the Whiskey Trail. Or if you are a golfer there are courses in Ballindalloch and Boat of Garten. The cottage is also within easy reach of other places of interest to suit all. Five minutes away is a small shop with basic provisions. Grantown is a small drive away , with plenty of shops , pubs and restaurants and a fantastic curry house. There are lots of walks , climbing the Cairngorms, forests around Loch Morlich and the Glenmore Forest Park are lovely locations. You can fish on the River Spey. If you are into history there is the Highland Folk Museum at Kingussie. Or take a trip in the Strathspey Steam Railway, with panoramic views of the mountains. Or alternatively , you could take a look at Ruthven barracks, the location where 3000 Jacobites assembled after their defeat at Culloden in 1746. There are also many Castles locally , and many event events take place throughout the year, including; Siberian Dog Sled Ralley, Aviemore and Cairngorm Walking and Mountain Festival.
