Whether it’s a classic double, twin bedroom, a family room, one of our four poster rooms or the Ailsa Suite all have been decorated to the highest standard and all are en-suite, providing a traditional and comfortable environment for our guests.
Our four poster bridal rooms have been designed to give that extra bit of pampering with dressed four-poster beds and en-suite bathroom complete with whirlpool bath and separate large shower. Including the use of fluffy hotel bathrobes, towelling slippers, free wireless internet access. We also spoil you with a bottle of Champagne.
For those wanting to really spoil themselves, our Ailsa Suite has been designed with pampering in mind. This is more than just accommodation. This is a real experience. The latest addition to the Ailsa Suite with its own private lounge area, is a 42" LCD TV and DVD player, while the bathroom boasts a double whirlpool bath and seperate double shower.

The Restaurant
The Gables has become one of the finest restaurants in Gretna,
gaining a reputation for fine, traditional Scottish food with a modern
twist. Our Head Chef and his dedicated team use the freshest local produce
wherever possible, from top quality suppliers, to produce a selection
of mouth-watering dishes.
Our full A La Carte menu changes regularly, reflecting the seasons, while our extensive wine list has been carefully selected to ensure there is a wine to complement every dish, as well as ensuring there is a wine to meet all tastes.

Gretna Weddings
Gretna was well and truly put on the map by Lord Hardwicke’s Marriage
Act of 1753 which forbade the marriage of two people under 21 years old,
unless they had the consent of their parents. The act did not apply in
Scotland and so Gretna, just over the Scottish border from England, became
the centre for runaway marriages. Today Gretna is still the marriage capital
of Scotland, playing home to over 5000 weddings each year.
