Invergarry is a village at the foot of Glengarry, on the main Fort William - Inverness road through the Great Glen. Loch Oich, Loch Garry and the Glengarry Forest are among the natural attractions of the area, and the ruined 17th century Invergarry Castle is on the shire of Loch Oich. Forest Lodge is managed by Robert and Phoebe Hutchinson. Visitors come to Forest Lodge Bed and Breakfast to see the Highlands of Scotland, to walk, climb or tour the many scenic areas. Some guests stay only one night depending on their holiday arrangements; others stay longer to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area. Forest Lodge is also ideally situated as a stop-over whilst walking the Great Glen Way. Forest Lodge AccommodationForest Lodge has pleasant en-suite rooms consisting of double, twin, and family, some of which are on the ground floor. In the house there are two lounges comfortably furnished where guests can have a quiet read or practice the nearly lost art of conversation! To enhance their visit guests can utilize the large selection of local orientated booklets as well as other books, and games. In the winter there is a log fire to stare into! Dining Dinner is served at 19.00. Vegetarians and others who require alternative dietary requirements can be catered for with a little prior notification. Smoking Policy Local places of interest and activities · Fort Augustus & Caledonian Canal & Locks Location Touring by car can take guests much further afield and places such as Inverness, Mallaig, Skye and Ullapool are easily achieved in a day. Again there are many leaflets to enable guests to choose and plan their route. The Great Glen Way which can be walked from Fort William to Inverness (or vice versa) is suitable for most ages to participate in. Forest Lodge, which is within sight of Laggan Locks, is ideally positioned for a first or second night stopover depending on the walkers ability. Of course what everyone wants to see is the monster! Loch Ness starts at Fort Augustus and that is only 10 miles away. Forest Lodge has a considerable number of Munroes' within easy reach; this would allow climbers to tick off a few more!
