Invergarry is a village at the foot of Glengarry, on the main Fort William - Inverness road through the Great Glen. Loch Oich, Loch Garry and the Glengarry Forest are among the natural attractions of the area, and the ruined 17th century Invergarry Castle is on the shire of Loch Oich. Our spacious comfortable Lodges are terraced into the hillside in an elevated position above Ardgarry Farm, offering panoramic views across the Glen to the surrounding mountains and pine forests. The peaceful rural location of Ardgarry Farm makes it an ideal base for a family holiday or a couple looking to get away from it all. We are a small working farm with a fine selection of friendly animals which wander freely about the farm. There are chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks and more. There's also Tess and Cally our Shetland pony's and a number of sheep. Highgarry Lodges AccommodationThe Norwegian lodges are constructed of solid round pine logs, interlocked together to form a substantial well insulated construction capable of withstanding the coldest winter, being fully double glazed and with heating to all rooms only adds to your further warmth and comfort. The open plan lounge, dining and well equipped kitchen easily caters for up to 6 people. There are 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin (all bed linen provided). The bathrooms have a bath and a Power shower. All lodges are equipped with a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, first aid kit, and smoke alarms. Satellite TV & DVD In all Lodges. Additional facilities Please Note: Highgarry Lodges are strictly No Smoking Invergarry An abundance of wild life exists in and around the Invergarry. Glengarry forest is just 10 minutes walk from Ardgarry Farm. The forest has a good selection of well defined walks taking in waterfalls and the River Garry, which is regularly used for white water rafting and kayaking. The Great Glen Way/Cycle track passes through the village and we are are ideally located for hill or long distance walking and cycling. Most outdoor pursuits can be accessed locally and a Water Sports centre is just 5 kms away. To the west of Invergarry lies Fort William (40km) and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. To the east is Fort Augustus (11km) and Loch Ness, or you could visit the Isle of Skye taking in the breathtaking scenery along the way. This too can easily be accessed from Invergarry. Activities and Attractions Alternatively, you could visit the Isle of Skye with its breathtaking scenery. We have put together here some suggestions of places that you may like to visit during your stay with us. The boatmen claim to have picked up large unexplainable objects on sonar while cruising on the Loch.
