Woodwick Mill has newly been renovated to provide superior 4-star
self-catering accommodation in a beautiful burnside setting. The
environment is quiet and serene with heron, cormorant, ducks, trout,
grey wagtails, the occasional otter and the relaxing sound of Woodwick
Burn babbling over the flagstone bedrock.

The accommodation is finished to an excellent and well-equipped standard.
The building is insulated to a high standard and warmed by heat pump.
The kitchen and bathrooms provide excellent facilities with spa bath,
shower, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and Jamie Oliver tableware.
All double beds are King-size.
There are superb views over the surrounding countryside and neighbouring
islands.
There is ample parking and the Mill is within 20 minutes' drive from each
of the two main towns, Kirkwall and Stromness.
Woodwick House next door is a warm & welcoming historic country house,
offering meals and a fully licenced bar. There are four luxury apartments:

From Kirkwall
Take the A965 into Finstown, turn right onto the A966 towards
Evie and go for 6 miles. Take the next right AFTER the sign to Tingwall
Jetty then first left onto a dirt road. Just past the old farm buildings
turn left onto the tarred road for Woodwick Mill.
From Stromness
Take the A965 into Finstown, turn left onto A966 towards Evie

Public Transport Directions
Getting there by railway:- Take train to Thurso then bus or taxi to Scrabster
for the ferry going to Stromness.
By aeroplane
See Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd for Air Transport Links and Timetables
for Flybe (www.flybe.com) and British Airways. After arrival turn right
and take the A960 to Kirkwall.
By ferry
Take Northlink from Scrabster to Stromness. Northlink from Aberdeen to
Kirkwall. Passenger-only John O' Groats Ferries from John O' Groats to
Burwick. The bus takes you to Kirkwall. Take Pentland Ferries from Gills
Bay to St Margaret's Hope. Then take the A961 to Kirkwall.
