Three Self Catering Holiday Cottages and Apartments situated in the grounds of Haus Saron in Largs. Close to the Yacht Haven and a short distance from the beach on the Firth of Clyde . Within easy travelling distance of Glasgow , Prestwick Airport, Loch Lomond and other attractions in the West of Scotland. Now all cottages have Wi-Fi. Haus Saron AccommodationThis is Haus Saron - a large detached house set amidst two acres of gardens and woodlands which back onto the local golf course but yet is only a few yards from the beach. Within the grounds are three holiday cottages called Coach House, Beech House and Zion House. All of the houses are equipped to a high standard with Zion House graded as 3 Star by Visit Scotland and the other houses awaiting grading. We are members of the Association of Scottish Self Caterers EmbraceScotland. We offer accommodation for clients who wish to visit this area of Scotland on holiday. We also offer special rates to clients who are looking for short term accommodation due to being on business or between properties. Cottages NEW FOR 2011 - Wi-Fi - Free Wireless Internet connection is now available in all Cottages except Gogo Street. All the Cottages are built and equipped to a high standard and have gas central heating . They all have oak fronted fitted kitchens fully equipped with a washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee machine and some with a dish washer. Each of the sitting rooms has comfortable furniture with a colour TV, DVD player , games and books. There are fitted carpets in all the rooms with the exception of the kitchen and bathroom which have tiled floors. All bed linen is provided. Electricity and gas charges are included in the tariff. On request we can supply cots(2) and high chairs(2). A patio area and barbeque set is available .There is secure and private car parking for all cottages. All cottages do not have all the facilities. Beech House is recently built and is the ground floor of a detached house. - there are only 2 steps into the property The accommodation consists of a living/dining room, bathroom with electric shower and shaver point, kitchen, entrance porch and hall , one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. Gas central heating and double glazing. It sleeps a maximum of 6 Zion House is also recently built and is above Beech House on the first floor of a detached house . It has partial sea views and backs on to the golf course The accommodation consists of a living/dining room, bathroom with electric shower and shaver point, kitchen, entrance porch stairway and hall , one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. Gas central heating and double glazing . It sleeps a maximum of 6 Coach House was built about 50 years ago above the former Coach House and Stable. It has since been extensively upgraded to the same standard as the other houses. It is on the first floor. It has partial sea views and backs on to the golf course. The accommodation consists of a living/dining room, bathroom with electric shower and shaver point, kitchen, entrance porch stairway and hall , two twin bedrooms. Satellite TV and DVD Gas central heating and double glazing It sleeps a maximum of 4 people. House at 33 Gogo Street It's a lower villa with wheelchair access. Two minutes from beach and town centre. Two double bedrooms with sinks. Lovely, large lounge with bed settee. Spacious dining room with extra sleeping facilities. Garden includes driveway, garden furniture and barbecue. Fitted kitchen with a washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer . Satellite colour There are fitted carpets in all the rooms. All bed linen is provided. Largs and its attractions There are two golf courses in the town Largs Golf Club a private parkland club and Routenburn Golf Club a public moorland/hill course with spectacular views of the Clyde. There are three bowling greens in the town with Halkshill having indoor rinks. Walking is a favourite pastime - one can either walk along the three mile long promenade or sample other hill and country walks. There is a well equipped Largs Marina at the south end of the town. Diving and Fishing trips can be organized there. Other Marinas are at Troon, Ardrossan and Kip. Or try the new activity Cumbrae Voyages ... Fantastic Marine Wildlife Adventures from Largs Pier around the Cumbrae Islands. Cumbrae Water Sports Centre provides trainning and certification in sailing and boarding room. A special attraction is the Waverley the world's last sea going padle steamer - not to be missed. Various Festivals are on - sample the Viking Festival in late August or the Town and Country Western Festival in Millport. Why not visit Culzean Castle just south of Ayr , explore Rabbie Burns or take a trip to the Isle of Arran to the whisky distillery there. Interesting days out can be had on the Island of Bute where one can visit Mount Stuart House. Going further a field one should visit Loch Lomond. Further afield For the arts try the Edinburgh Festival, the Tattoo, Fringe Events or the Filmfest. There is a super range of museums and galleries one of the best being the Museum of Scotland. For visitors at New Year get a flavour of Hogmany. Don't miss the Falkirk Wheel! DIRECTIONS You will pass through Wemyss Bay and Skelmorlie before arriving at the north end of Largs - we are on the left about 200m south of the 30mph speed limit. The second option is to head west on the M8, and shortly after the airport turn off, you take the A737 towards Irvine onto the dual carriageway. Pass by Johnstone, Kilbarchan and Howwood, then turn right onto the A760 at the small roundabout, heading into Lochwinnoch. Continue on into Kilbirnie and then follow the signs for Largs. This route is slightly quicker, and brings you in at the bottom of the Haylie Brae road, which is at the south end of Largs. Travel through the town on the A78 towards Greenock and we are on the right just before the 30MPH zone ends. Driving from Glasgow Prestwick Airport / Irvine to Largs: Follow the coast road as you go, and the coast road through Seamill,
West Kilbride and Fairlie to arrive in the south end of Largs where you
will see the Marina and Pencil travel through the town on the A78 towards
