Local Attractions
The lovely Ayrshire town of Largs on Scotland’s beautiful west coast looks out to the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute and has long been a hugely popular sea-side resort. Largs is the ideal base from which to explore the west coast islands, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Glasgow and beyond, however, with so much to see and do in Largs…you may want to extend your stay!

There is a wide selection of activities available in Largs which is a perfect destination for those who want to relax and take it easy and those who want to have an action-packed time.

The Inverclyde Sports Centre is only a few minutes walk from our Guest House as is the Vikingar complex, which houses a swimming pool, sauna, gym, cinema, café, bar, putting green as well as an interactive, historical Viking experience.

Largs has 2 golf courses, extensive water sports and sailing facilities, bowls, 10 pin bowling, play parks, fishing, diving and many other sport and leisure activities.

The Waverly Paddle Steamer makes regular trips from Largs throughout the summer and there is a regular ferry service to the islands, making it easy to explore the West Coast on water.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre:
From North along Greenock Road A78 turn right into Brisbane Street go left at top of street into Brisbane Road with house on right opposite bowling green.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Glasgow, take A78 to Greenock then onto Largs.
