The house has a lovely enclosed garden and a beautiful sea view across the Loch narrows to South Strome. This is a very quiet and peaceful location. What was originally one large stone croft house has been carefully renovated and divided into two independent self-catering properties. Our guests often comment on the peace and quiet, and the wildlife they can experience from this property. Deer, pine martins, otters, seals can all be seen with patience and some luck. The area is also ideal for walking, touring and bird watching. Park House AccommodationThe large living room / dining room (30 x 16 feet) is very spacious. The dining area has a pine table and chairs and will seat 6 comfortably. The lounge has a gas flame fire, a four-seater and a two-seater leather sofa and there are also two armchairs. There is a large screen colour television and a video player with a small selection of videos. A variety of books and a piano completes the furnishings of the lounge. The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, an automatic washing machine, a full size fridge / freezer and a microwave oven. The oven and hob are electric. There is a good supply of crockery, pans and cutlery. The downstairs bathroom has a bath, WC and wash hand basin. Upstairs there is a small shower room with an electric shower, WC and wash hand basin. It should be noted that due to low water pressure in our area the shower can be temperamental, it works well when there is no other demand within the house on the water supply. All of the bedrooms are upstairs. There is a large double room and a large twin room; both rooms can easily accommodate a cot. In addition there is a very small double room with a cabin style bed built into it. This bed is a full size double, which is only accessible from one side. All of the bedrooms have a radiator, a small chest of drawers and a small built in wardrobe. All have a south-facing window, which over-looks the garden and the beautiful view. Park House is registered with VisitScotland and has been graded 3 Stars. Bed linen is included but towels are not provided. The heating and hot water are controlled by a gas boiler in Park House. The times are set to allow maximum comfort for all guests, on at 07.00 off 09.30am on again at 17.30 off at 21.30 hrs. Park House is semi-detached with a smaller letting property next door, Park Cottage, which is not registered with VisitScotland. The whole house shares the water and heating systems. The kitchen will have a small supply of cleaning materials under the sink; there will be a new J-Cloth, sponge pan scourer, 3 black bin bags, 2 tea towels and a kitchen towel. We also provide a little washing up liquid and 3 dishwasher tablets to get you started. There is always a clean bath mat and a new toilet roll changed at the beginning of your stay. There are vacuum cleaners, clothes airers, irons and ironing boards and there is a washing line behind the house.
