Downstairs
There is a very large comfortable lounge with open coal/log fire and dining
area. Fittings include a large 36inch wide-screen TV, Sky, DVD, VCR, CD/Radio
Stereo and a large selection of DVD’S and tapes.
From the lounge two patio doors lead out to the garden and to the river-side
terrace which is complete with teak table and chairs; perfect for BBQs
and where you can watch the salmon jump and otters feed.
The very well-equipped kitchen also has a breakfast table area and includes
a dish-washer, oven/hob, microwave, refrigerator and chest freezer, Highland
Stoneware and Denby pottery.
One ground floor double bedroom with 4ft 6ins luxury memory foam mattress
and TV.
Adjacent bathroom with large deep bath, hand basin and toilet.
There is also a separate utility room with Miele washing machine, Miele
tumble-dryer, ironing facilities and plenty of cupboard space, as well
as a good sized drying cupboard suitable for drying out-door clothing.

There are two bedrooms:-
One double bedroom with luxury kingsize (5ft) Sleepeezee Imperial bed.
En-suite power shower, hand basin and toilet. Hair-dryer supplied.
One twin bedroom with two 3ft luxury memory foam beds and T.V
The cottage has full electric central-heating (meter cards at cost)
and there is a payphone located in the hall.
The location of this traditional stone-built cottage
is excellent, set in the centre of Lochinver village, yet secluded and
alongside the mouth of the River Inver with access to the river.
Within a few minutes’ walk you are at the local amenities, newsagent,
shops, restaurants/bar, Post Office, village hall, Tourist Information
Centre, Royal Bank of Scotland, Leisure Centre and local walks, fishing
and spectacular scenery.
Getting to Ardvar Cottage
The total distance Inverness - Lochinver is 102 miles
Leave Inverness via the Kessock Bridge and follow the signs to Ullapool
(A835)
From Ullapool follow signs for north (A835) until Ledmore Junction
At the junction turn Left (West) and, when the road forks at Skiag Bridge,
continue Left to Lochinver (A837)
Another eleven miles brings you to the village of Lochinver
