Deriving its name from the gaelic Clais An Easaidh – meaning Valley of the Waterfall, Clashnessie is a small crofting community on the north coast of Assynt, a parish regarded by many as one of the most beautiful in Highland Scotland. Riverside, a former croft house, is situated just a few minutes’ walk from a spectacular sandy beach. Riverside AccommodationThe accommodation which sleeps a maximum of four people comprises a lounge with satellite TV, Video, DVD player and Hi-Fi. A kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. There is a Double bedroom - and a Twin bedroom. A bathroom with WC, basin
and electric shower over the bath. We regret – no smoking and no pets. Directions from Inverness Continue through to Ullapool and beyond to Ledmore Junction turning left onto the A837 in the direction of Lochinver. Shortly before reaching Lochinver village, you will go over a cattle grid. Approximately 0.5 miles beyond this point, turn right onto the B869 and continue through Clachtoll and Stoer in the direction of Drumbeg. After travelling for approximately 7 miles on this road, you will reach Clashnessie. Continue down the hill towards the beach turning right towards Riverside immediately after the phone box.
