Tigh na Craig is a bright, spacious new house over looking the sandy shores of Clachtoll Bay in the North West of Scotland. This recently built house provides the perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life. Whether you choose to relax and unwind in the unique surroundings or take a more active approach and indulge in Assynt's numerous activities, is entirely up to you. Tigh na Craig AccommodationTigh na Craig accommodates up to eight people and is located six miles along the single track road from the fishing port of Lochinver. Situated on an elevated, sheltered position the house provides fantastic views of the surrounding area. Easily accessible from the road, the house also has plenty of room for parking. This area is ideal for children and dogs to play in, while still being close to hand and also has a picnic table should you feel like eating alfresco. The lower half of Tigh na Craig comprises of a large family size kitchen and dinning area, large living room, utility room, toilet and front porch. The facilities include an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron, ironing board and airing facilities. There is also a colour television, video player and CD, radio and cassette player in the living room. The upstairs rooms include four bedrooms, bathroom and linen cupboard. There is a large bedroom with a king size bed, en suite and shower. This room has a stunning view of the surrounding area as does the other double bedroom. The two twin rooms look out to the hills behind the house and have the added bonus of morning sunshine. All bed linen and towels are supplied. Local Attractions Venture slightly further a field and you will come to Assynt's main village Lochinver. Here you may wish to visit the award winning Assynt Visitor Centre or its bustling fishing harbour. Other sights near Lochinver which ar well worth a look include the spectacular Waterfalls of the Kirkaig, the ruins of Ardveck Castle, which stand by the shore of Loch Assynt or the bone caves of Inchnadamph. You may also wish to take a day trip to Achiltibuie during your stay. Here you can visit the Hydroponicum, Smokehouse or go on a cruise of the Summer Isles. Activities Walkers and climbers will also enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland. There is the challenge of scaling one of the many sea cliffs or stacks along the coast. Head inland and you will find the mountains of Canisp, Suilven and Stack Pollaidh to name a few. If travelling at a lower level better suits you there are several routes leading you past the feet of these mountains and along the picturesque coastal paths.
