Clint Lodge is ideally placed to enjoy all that the Scottish

It is within a short distance of the famous Scott's View, where the novelist
Sir Walter Scott stopped to enjoy the sight of the
Eildon Hills with the Tweed at their feet.
Built in 1869 by Lord Polwarth as the family's shooting home, Clint Lodge
is now owned by the Duke of Sutherland, but has been leased by Bill and
Heather Walker since March '97.
After extensive and careful refurbishment, Clint Lodge opened in August
'97.
Four of the great Border Abbeys founded by King David 1 are within 15
miles, also within walking distance of Dryburgh Abbey and the William
Wallace (Braveheart) Monument.
The characterful towns and villages are delightful destinations for shopping
or simply to explore.

century sporting lodge, but stay within easy access of the major Scottish

The bright and spacious drawing room has an open log fire, and for those
sunnier days there is an adjoining sun lounge from which to enjoy the
breathtaking scenery.
Guests can enjoy a meal in the atmospheric dining room with it's welcoming
log burner; or a stroll in the large garden, which is also available to
cottage guests.
Traditional features have been lovingly restored such as the old wooden
and tiled floors, original fireplaces and wood surrounds, all adding to
Clint Lodge's appealing and relaxing atmosphere.
Clint Lodge Accommodation
There are five bedrooms to let, four have en-suite bathroom facilities,
two with original deep-fill baths.
One of the twin rooms has a private bathroom.
Beautifully decorated, we have four rooms with either twin or super king
size beds and one single room.
All are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and televisions.
WIFI is available throughout the house.
Major guest rooms are front facing, capturing the morning sunshine and
the panoramic view across the typical Scottish Borders countryside from
the meandering River Tweed, across St. Boswells Golf Course to the distant
Cheviot hills.
Self Catering Holiday Cottage
This comfortably furnished self catering holiday cottage has in idyllic
location close to the River Tweed in the heartland of the magnificent
Scottish Border country.
Set on a working farm, it has a south facing garden with a panoramic view
of the river valley and is within easy reach of many places of interest.

Getting there from the Information Centre
From Melrose Tourist Information Centre, take the A6091 to St Boswells
via the A68 then the B6404 and B6356 to Clint Lodge.
Getting There by Railway
From Berwick upon Tweed railway station take the A698 to Coldstream, the
A698 to Kelso, then the A6089 followed by the B6404 to St Boswells.
Then follow the B6356 to Clint Lodge.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Edinburgh airport, take the A8 to City By-Pass, the A720 to Sheriffhall
Roundabout.
Take the A68 to St Boswells.
Follow the B6404 then the B6356 to Clint Lodge approximately 1.5 hours.
From Newcastle airport take the A696 north then the A68 to St Boswells
followed by the B6404 and B6356 to Clint Lodge.
Approximately 2 hours.
