Sevens Rugby Tournament.
Another event not to be missed is the colourful Melrose Festival, held
in mid June each year.
Harmony Garden
A delightfully tranquil walled garden comprising lawns, herbaceous and
mixed borders, vegetable and fruit areas, and a rich display of spring
bulbs.
The garden is set around an early 19th-century house (not open to the
public), built by Melrose joiner Robert Waugh, who named it Harmony after
the Jamaican pimento plantation where he had made his fortune.
Harmony Garden has excellent views of Melrose Abbey and the Eildon Hills

Priorwood Garden
The Ormiston, a striking red sandstone Edwardian building in the wedge-shaped
market square of the town of Melrose houses this small, modern and professional
exhibition.
Beyond the banners and sentries the corridor arch leads you past the huge
figure of centurion Arrius and the Trimontium Stone into the colourful
layout of panels, models, cases and photos.
There is a 40 minute audio guide telling the story of Romano-native Trimontium,
fortress, township, trading-post, amphitheatre and Dere Street bridge.
