Attractions
Castles, including Glamis and Dunnotar, are a little over half an hour
away and for golfers the Montrose Links, the fifth oldest golf course
in the world, is a leisurely five minute stroll.
Directions
Getting There by Car
From the A90, turn off at A935 (Brechin) and follow signs to Montrose
(approximately 9 miles).
Alternatively, from the south, follow the Angus coastal route from Dundee
on the A92.
On arrival in Montrose, follow signs for the town centre.
John Street is off the high street by the Bank of Scotland.
Getting There by Railway
Taxi takes about 5 minutes and are available from outside the train station.
If walking, then leave train station and walk to main road, cross, and
head to the right.
You will come to a mini-roundabout at the bottom of Hume Street where
the Gala Bingo is situated.
Walk up this street and turn left, walk along the main street until you
find Woolworths.
Take the road opposite between Goves of Gourdon Fish Shop and Bank of
Scotland - John Street.
Walk down about 200 metres and we are situated on the left hand side.
