Cawdor Castle
Cawdor Castle has a magical name which is romantically linked with Macbeth
by Shakespeare.
It has superb gardens with the walled garden dating back to 1620, and
was the original kitchen garden for the castle.
Part of the garden is now a holly maze.
Fort George
Fort George is quite simply the finest example of 18th-century military
engineering you’ll find anywhere in the British Isles.
This vast garrison fortress was begun in the aftermath of the Battle of
Culloden (1746) and It took over 20 years to complete.
It remains virtually unaltered today and perfect for a great day out.
