There are 16 other golf courses in the area and for horse riders there
is an excellent riding centre 5 minutes away. Fishing is also a popular
pastime and there are two trout lochs close by as well as the renowned
river Findhorn, famed for its salmon.
The pretty Heritage village of Cawdor, just 6 miles away is well worth
a a visit, with its beautiful fairy tale castle of "MacBeth"
fame.
The garden grounds are simply stunning.
Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy encountering the local population of red
squirrels, pine martins, roe deer and even the occasional wild cat.
Visit the Cairngorm Reindeer herd, the only freely roaming reindeer in
the British Isles or be pulled through the foothills of the mountains
by the local husky team.
The pretty fishing town of Nairn is just 7 miles away and offers miles
of spectacular, award winning beaches, a championship golf course and
a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and small shops.
The area is renowned for its exceptional walking and cycling, with miles
of quiet lanes, hills, moors and woods to explore direct from the property.
