Oban hotel "Aros Ard", Gaelic for "high house", is an apt description for this new house built on the outskirts of Oban, fifteen minutes walk from the sea front and town.

Aros Ard Accommodation

We offer two suites with superb views over Oban, the bay and the sound of Kerrera. Full length french doors give the effect of a balcony within the room from which the views may be enjoyed.

The West Suite has a king size bed whilst the East Suite has twin beds. The suites have easy chairs, digital free view TV, video/DVD, small fridge, clock radio, hair drier, iron and ironing board, hospitality tray, fruit and sherry. Heating is under direct control of the guests. Free computer WI/FI access.

There is a dining table and chairs should you wish to bring in your evening meal from any of the establishments offering "food to go". Crockery and cutlery are provided.

This eco-friendly house boasts a high level of insulation, high-tech double glazing, water heating supplemented by solar tubes and a heat-recovery ventilation system which provides continuous filtered fresh air. This is of particular benefit to sufferers of asthma or allergies.

The bedrooms and their en-suite facilities occupy the entire first floor of the house with the result that a party of four will have sole occupancy of the establishment.

Breakfast
A full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room or guests may enjoy a continental breakfast in their room.
Welcome information and breakfast menus also in French, German, Italian and Spanish. There is ample car parking in our grounds.

Please note that we do not accept one night bookings in advance, though please check near the date if you wish as you are welcome if we have a gap between longer bookings.

Location
Our house is situated on the edge of Oban with splendid views over the bay and the Sound of Kerrera, has hills behind, and if you are lucky, you might even see a roe deer or two. There are also buzzards flying around – not to mention rabbits in the garden!!

The Atlantis Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool, tennis courts and bowling green are barely a 5 minute walk from the house and the sea front and centre of town, bus and train station is an easy 15 minute walk. Oban has a good selection of eating establishments within easy walking distance.
