Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Orkney Bellavista Guest House is a Three Star, purpose built, family run Guest House in a quiet, peaceful area of Kirkwall, Orkney, run by Mother and Daughter, Patsy and Angela Walls. Bellavista is situated near the shore and is a 15-20 minute shore hugging walk in to Kirkwall. Bellavista makes sure you have the best start each day as possible, with a delicious breakfast.

Bellavista operates a seasonal pricing structure to reflect demand for accommodation.

Breakfast is served from 7.15am – 8.30am. Cereal, fruit, yoghurt, tea/coffee is available for guests requiring breakfast prior to 7.15am.

Bellavista breakfasts use fresh local produce wherever possible including;

* Beef/pork sausages from family farms
* Local produce: bread, milk, oatcakes, black pudding, eggs, cheese
* Marmalade and cheese made by Angela
* Rhubarb jam made by Patsy
Soya milk, margarine and yoghurt are available. Bellavista will try, where possible, to cater for dietry requirements.
Younger guests are well catered for, with child high chairs, plates, cups, cutlery and bibs available for use.
The dining room looks out onto a large well kept garden with bird tables.

Space to Relax
A large garden and pond with seating areas is provided for guests to relax in. Guests can use the large private car park and secure outbuildings for storage of bicycles and other outdoor equipment.

Northlink Hatston (Kirkwall) Terminal

From Hatston Pier turn left following the signs for Kirkwall and keep to the harbour road, going straight through the roundabouts, which will bring you to Kirkwall Harbour, where you will see the Kirkwall Hotel on your right. Keep the sea on your left and proceed through the roundabout and up the incline (Shore Street) into Cromwell Road, leading to Carness Road. Continue along the coast road for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at a junction. We have a sign at this road end. Keep to the coast road with the sea still on your left. Northlink Stromness Terminal

From Stromness take the A965 to Kirkwall (approximately 15 miles). On the way you will pass the Stenness Loch known for its’ trout fishing and the village of Stenness. Further on Maeshowe is on the left and Tormiston Mill on the right. You will then drive through the village of Finstown before reaching the outskirts of Kirkwall where you will see Hatston Industrial Estate on your left side.

Once into Kirkwall keep to the harbour road, going straight through the roundabouts, which will bring you to Kirkwall Harbour, where you will see the Kirkwall Hotel on your right. Keep the sea on your left and proceed through the roundabout and up the incline (Shore Street) into Cromwell Road, leading to Carness Road. Continue along the coast road for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at a junction. We have a sign at this road end. Keep to the coast road with the sea still on your left. Our entrance is the first on the right.
Pentland Ferries (St Margarets Hope) Terminal

From the St Margarets Hope Pier follow the road through the village of St Margarets Hope until you arrive at a junction. Turn left on to A961 and follow the road until Kirkwall (approximately 15 miles). On the drive to Kirkwall you will pass the village of Burray, the Italian Chapel, drive over the Churchill Barriers and through the village of St Mary’s in Holm. Continue to drive until you have passed the Highland Park distillery. As the main road veers to the left turn right and follow the road to the junction. Turn left on to Dundas Crescent; follow the road until it branches off on the right into School Place. Follow School Place turning left into St Catherines Place until you reach the roundabout at the harbour. Turn right at the roundabout and up the incline (Shore Street) into Cromwell Road, leading to Carness Road. Continue along the coast road for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at a junction. We have a sign at this road end. Keep to the coast road with the sea still on your left. Our entrance is the first on the right.
Kirkwall Airport

Turn right on leaving the airport and follow the road into Kirkwall (approximately 3 miles). Follow Dundas Crescent until it branches off on the right into School Place. Follow School Place turning left into St Catherines Place until you reach the roundabout at the harbour. Turn right at the roundabout and up the incline (Shore Street) into Cromwell Road, leading to Carness Road. Continue along the coast road for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at a junction. We have a sign at this road end. Keep to the coast road with the sea still on your left. Our entrance is the first on the right.
Centre of Kirkwall, St Magnus Cathedral, Tourist Information Centre

Drive down Castle Street until you reach the junction. Turn right onto Junction Road, then right at the first roundabout, taking you on to the Harbour front and then straight ahead at the next roundabout. Go up the incline (Shore Street) into Cromwell Road, leading to Carness Road. Continue along the coast road for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at a junction. We have a sign at this road end.
