The
Green Park hotel in Pitlochry is a long established and
very popular family run hotel, in Highland Perthshire.
The hotel is to be found on the western outskirts of Pitlochry, a small
town of two to three thousand, which lies within the southern edge of
Highland Scotland.
The Green Park hotel is one of Pitlochry's best known landmarks, enjoying
unrivalled views over Loch Faskally from its lochside position; truly
one of Pitlochry's best locations.
Set in three acres at the 'Inverness' end of Pitlochry, the Green Park
is within strolling distance of the shops and a pleasant walk from the
Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
Green Park hotel Accommodation
The hotel's accommodation is split into three main areas, which over
the years have come to be known as The Main Hotel - here the bedrooms
are on three floors.
Three bedrooms are on the ground floor (rooms 1-3).
Eighteen bedrooms are the first floor (rooms 4-40), and four bedrooms
are on the second floor (rooms 21-24).
Balcony Bedroom
The four bedrooms on the second floor have balconies, each with
room for two 'deck' chairs and a table.
The bedrooms on the second floor can be reached by stairs from the first
floor, or directly by using the Garden Wing lift.
The Garden Wing
Here the bedrooms are on two floors, each with seven bedrooms.
Rooms 32 - 38 are on the ground floor, while rooms 25 - 31 are on the
first floor.
Looking out from the dining room towards Loch Faskally, the Garden Wing
is to the left hand side.
The Tower Wing
Here the bedrooms are on two floors, each with six bedrooms.
Rooms 50 - 55 are on the first floor, while rooms 56 - 61 are on the ground
floor.
If you imagine that you are arriving at the hotel's reception, then the
Tower Wing is to your left hand side.
Disabled Facilities
Room 61 on the ground floor of the Tower Wing is particularily
well suited to wheelchair users with its specially modified bathroom.
The video tour of the bedroom and bathroom gives a good idea of what is
available, but please feel free to pop into the hotel for a complimentray
tea or coffee and a look around if you are ever in the area.
Hotel Lifts - There are two lifts at the hotel, both
capable of taking nine people at any one time.
One lift is situated in the lobby area of the Tower Wing, while the other
is in the lobby area of the Garden Wing.
