‘Heronfield is a beautifully appointed, large centrally
heated modern home set in a small private secluded development just
one mile from Portree village centre.
Set up above and overlooking Loch Portree with almost two acres
of wild hillside garden containing many deciduous native woodland
trees and shrubs.
It is ideally situated for local amenities and for touring the
island. We are keen walkers and willingly offer enthusiastic help
on all matters of local interest to enhance your stay.

Heronfield Accommodation
Each of our lovely two double guest bedrooms has colour television and
tea/coffee making facilities and there is a cosy guest lounge (situated
off the dining room on the ground floor) with books and video facilities
if required.
Front-facing Double Bedroom with Ensuite Facilities
Facing East across Portree Bay with extensive sea/mountain views this
beautiful bedroom has a king sized (5ft) double bed, large ensuite shower
room with wash hand basin and toilet and temperature controlled shower.

Overlooks ‘Heronfield’ hillside garden with many assorted
developed trees and shrubs.

Getting there from the Information Centre
From Portree tourist Information Centre, a 20 minute walk along the A87
road south direction Sligachan, or take a taxi.
Heron Place is the first turning right after the National Benzole petrol
station.
Heronfield the last house but one overlooking Loch Portree.
Getting There by Railway
From Kyle of Lochalsh Station, cross the Skye Bridge taking main A87 via
Broadford to Portree.
Heron Place is the first left turn after the Aros Heritage Centre.
Heronfield is the last house but one.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Inverness Airport, 135 miles via Loch Ness, Invermoriston, Glensheil,
Kyle of Lochalsh, Skye Bridge through Broadford to Portree.
Heron Place is the first left turn after the Aros Heritage Centre on entering
the village on the main A87 road. Heronfield is the last but one house.
