Kirstys Cottage is a traditional 2-bedroom
crofting cottage situated by the seashore with stunning views of
the Cullin Hills.
The cottage is 15 minutes from Portree, with all its amenities
of shops, pubs, restaurants, visitor centre, cinema, banks and post
office. |

Amenities include gas/electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer,
washing machine and dryer, TV video, CD/ dvd player and an ipod docking
station.
The dining kitchen has a solid fuel fire that provides lashings of hot
water and central heating.
Garden
The large garden is completely enclosed, it has a picnic table with seating,
ideal for families.
The croft leads down to the loch side, and you are free to walk anywhere
in the township and on the seashore.
Heating
A solid fuel stove in the kitchen heats water and radiators in every room.
During the summer, the stove is usually not required as the house is well
insulated.
An immersion heater provides hot water, and in the evenings the open fire
in the living room will keep you cosy.
There are additional portable heaters if required.
Activities
The town of Portree, capital of Skye, is about fifteen minutes drive from
the cottage, and there you can find a host of amenities including swimming
pool, cinema and a variety of restaurants and shops.
Climbing, walking and sight-seeing are all available on the doorstep.
Wildlife is all around you.
A sandy beach ideal for swimming and picnics is also within easy reach.
Directions
Getting There by Car
To get to Peinachorran
(1) From the Skye bridge, follow signs to Portree (28 miles).
(2) 2 miles before Portree, which you will see in the distance, turn RIGHT
to Braes.
(3) Go STRAIGHT along single track road for 3/4 mile to junction.
(4) Turn RIGHT, following sign for Braes.
(5) Keep going STRAIGHT along single track road for 6 miles, right to
the end of the road.
(6) TURN at parking place and COME BACK 3 houses to tin roofed cottage
with large tree in garden.
