No 6 Achachork was completed in 2003, is built
on a working croft and has a small number of beef cattle and sheep.
A large part of the croft land has recently been planted with some
65000 plus native trees, Birch, Alder, Willow, Rowan and Scots Pine.
A selection of these trees is planted directly to the rear of the
house. The house is a 5 minute drive from Portree, the main village
on the island. With its famously picturesque harbour, lively pubs
and inviting restaurants Portree is at the very heart of the island.
All of the islands many attractions, from castles and museums to
outdoor centres and mountain pathways, are no more than 30 miles
away. |
