Teeny's Cottage is an original stone walled
cottage built in the 19th Century.
Completely refurbished in 2003 to an official 4 star rating, Teeny's
Cottage is now a very comfortable base for your holiday on the beautiful
Isle of Skye.
Situated twelve miles west of Portree, the capital of the Isle of
Skye, you can spend all day exploring Skye's beautiful scenery and
still gaze across Loch Snizort from the comfort of the cottage in
the evenings.
The location of Teeny's cottage in the top of Skye looking North
is ~10 miles from the nearest street light making it ideal for star
gazing and sky watching.

Teenys Cottage Accommodation
The cottage is set in a quiet and peaceful location, well back from the
road with ample private parking and outside seating and play area.
Two bedrooms, one with a king size double bed, and two single beds in
the second bedroom.
A shower room with a luxurious and powerful pumped shower in a large double
sized enclosure.

Getting there from the Information Centre
as a rough guide, it is a four hour drive from Glasgow to Kyle, and one
hour from the Skye bridge to us.
there are no tolls on the Skye bridge.
From the tourist office, head out of Portree town centre turning right
towards Uig.
After about 4 miles take the left fork towards Dunvegan staying on the
A850 (do not carry on towards Uig).
Drive for about 6 miles where you will pass a horse riding centre at Suledale.
Stay on the main road going up the long hill and down the other side.
You will see the sea off to the right and Teeny's Cottage up on the bank
to the left,
A white sign with a blue symbol saying Fasgadh and Teeny's Cottage is
also on the bank.
If you go past the 'Fanks' turning on the right, you have gone too far.
Getting There by Car
After crossing the Skye Bridge turn right at the roundabout onto the A850.
Follow the main road all the way to Portree (about 45 minutes).
Just before going into the town centre, take the left fork towards Uig.
After about 4 miles take the left fork towards Dunvegan staying on the
A850 (do not carry on towards Uig).
Drive for about 6 miles where you will pass a horse riding centre at Suledale.

Getting There by Railway
The nearest Train station is 'Kyle' at Kyle of Lochalsh which is by the
Skye bridge.
You will then need to either hire a car and follow the 'Getting there
by Car' section, or use public transport to Portree and get a taxi from
there.
Skye is difficult to get around without a car so we suggest you have a
vehicle.
Getting there by Aeroplane
You will need to fly to Inverness and then hire a car.

Getting There by Ferry
There are two ferries to Skye.
The main one is from Mallaig on the mainland, to Armadale on Skye; the
other smaller ferry runs from Glenelg on the mainland to Kylerhea.
Make your way from either to the main A87 and then follow the 'Getting
there by Car' directions to Portree and the cottage.
