We even provide an iron and ironing board, and if there is anything else guests might need, they only have to ask. The living area is a lounge/dining room which includes a colour TV and a DVD player, and has either a patio door or a full height picture window to take advantage of the riverside and woodland setting. Outside, each lodge has either its own veranda or private patio, overlooking the River Spean, or woodland and the Altour Burn, from which we take our name. Burnbank and the Environment Simple steps include the use of recycled paper, the provision of responsibly produced tea, coffee and sugar, the roll-out of low energy lighting as stocks of bulbs run out and are replaced, the provision of recycling facilities for glass, paper, plastic and cardboard. The above are only a few examples of the things we do and we hope our guests will continue to join in with the spirit of our efforts whilst on holiday here. DIRECTIONS From the South and Fort William - From the North and Inverness - From the East (A9 Perth) Approach Spean Bridge on the A86 (from Dalwhinnie and Newtonmore) through Roybridge. After passing the 30mph signs at the edge of Spean Bridge village. you will see our sign on the left hand side of the road, at which point turn left down our drive. Via Glasgow - It is no longer a toll bridge, and is free to use. Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn left to join the A82 there. On a map, this way appears to be the longer option, and in terms of distance, it is a little longer. You may still come across heavy traffic, but in terms of time, the saving can be measured in hours!. Don't say we didn't warn you! By Rail:
