Attractions
Stirling Castle and Palace
No trip to Stirling would be complete without a visit to this historic castle and its restored Great Hall.
Visitor events include watching weaving of wall hangings.
National Wallace Monument
Ascend the 246 steps and you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Forth valley.
The tower contains interactive displays celebrating William Wallace's life and you can even view Wallace’s infamous sword who's hilt is bound with Sir Hugh de Cressingham’s skin.
Seen from all bedrooms the nearby Wallace Monument, stands proud from where you can see one of Scotland’s best castles, Stirling Castle that is also nearby.
Other local historical attractions are the Church of the Holy Rude, the Old Town Jail, Cowan’s Hospital, Mar’s Lodgings, the Beheading Stone and Stirling Bridge.
For the more adventurous there are the Munros (hills above 3,000ft) some within travelling distance from Stirling.
If you like to shop, Stirling offers a wide variety of shops and the main mall the Thistle Centre and Marches offer undercover "shop till you drop" experience.

Activities
Visitors can find many sporting activities here including swimming, curling or ice skating and ten pin bowling, football and rugby, cricket, fishing, walking and golf.
Within easy reach are some of the best golf courses in Scotland and the UK.
In the Stirling area there are many Lochs and Glens to delight the visitor.
On Loch Katrine you can take a boat trip or hire a bike to ride alongside the Loch.

Getting there from the Information Centre

Leave the TIC in Dumbarton Rd and head back towards town, at the traffic lights turn right into Port St., go on to the next set of traffic lights and turn left to the next roundabout (75m)turn left into Wellgreen Rd., 50m on bear to the right to the roundabout, exit the roundabout at the second left, this is Burghmuir Rd., stay on this road until you get to the roundabout with the clock in the centre, exit this roundabout at the third exit and keep right up to the traffic lights, now bear right under the rail bridge and continue on, you are now in Causewayhead Rd. number 110Kerrann B&B is 150 mtr up this road.

Getting There by Car
On leaving the motorway at junction 10 on the M9, take the A84 Drip Road, to Stirling.
Keep going through the 20 mph area, passed the school until you reach a roundabout.
Take the first exit to next roundabout.
Take the first exit then keep right to lights.
Go under the railway bridge follow road straight along to 110 Kerrann B&B on you left.

Getting There by Railway
From Stirling rail station, Taxi rank outside station but to walk turn right, continue along and turn right to Wallace Street, continue past Tesco’s on your right to the underpass at the end.
Proceed through the underpass which comes out by the Old Stirling Bridge (foot traffic only) over the river Forth. When over the bridge look for the road that goes under the railway line, go under railway bridge, follow road straight along to 110 Kerrann B&B on you left.
Approx 1 mile.

Getting there by Aeroplane
There are two International airports that can be used.
Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Take bus to city centre in from both and train to Stirling.
