Braehead Farm is situated on a hill overlooking
Scapa Flow, the Hoy Hills, and the town of Stromness.
It is perfectly located to watch the MV Hamnavoe arriving and departing
from the Stromness Harbour.
The surrounding area is also home to a variety of birds and other
wildlife, and the seals can be seen basking in the sun from the
dining area window.
The accommodation is part of the farmhouse which was built in
the 1900s, and has undergone much renovation since being built.
It is a charming and well equipped dwelling.

Braehead Farm Accommodation
The house consists of a kitchen with a bright dining area, a cosy living
area, two spacious bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a bath and shower.
The first bedroom is an elegant double bedroom, tastefully decorated in
neutral tones, with a mirrored wardrobe and dressing table.
The second bedroom is a spacious, well set out bedroom which can sleep
up to three people. There is also a cot in this room.
The bathroom is equipped with a bath and an electric shower.
The accommodation has ample car parking space and an attractive patio
area. There is also a small area outside for drying clothes.

Getting there from the Information Centre
From Stromness Ferry Terminal turn right and go along Ferry Road, turn
right at the roundabout onto Cairston Road, drive out of Stromness and
take first right at the top of the hill, Braehead is the third house on
the left.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Kirkwall Airport, turn right and go to Kirkwall, once in Kirkwall
turn left down the Clay Loan, then right, then take first left at small
roundabout.
At Ayremills petrol filling station turn left at the roundabout onto the
A965 to Stromness, approximately 16 miles drive past swimming pool and
at the roundabout turn left onto Cairston Road.
Drive out of Stromness and up steep hill then take first right at top
of hill, Braehead is the third house on the left.
Getting There by Ferry
From Stromness ferry terminal turn right and go along Ferry Road, turn
right at the roundabout onto Cairston Road.
