Activities
Innertown Apartments complemented by the easy access, it offers
to outdoor pursuits such as fishing, loch or sea, 18 hole Golf course
beautifully set overlooking Hoy Sound, you can even play a round late
in the evening, with the long light hours in the summer.
Horse Riding, Walking, Climbing, Cycling, Kayaking, and Dive in Scapa
Flow where the entire German fleet, of 74 ships were ordered to scuttled,
on the 21st June 1919, many of the ships were salvaged, but eight German
wrecks still remain.
The most northerly whiskey distillery, 200-year-old “Highland Park”
is one of the very best: sample a dram of this particularly fine single
malt when you’ve finished your tour.

Getting there from the Information Centre
From the Tourist information/ Ferry Terminal building in Stromness turn
right onto the Ferry Road, when you come to the roundabout, 1st left,
round past the Co-op and police station, 1st right up the Back road follow
the road till you come to a small roundabout (hump in the road) 2nd exit
onto Outertown road, then 1st right at the trees onto Brownstown Road,
Innertown Apartment are first left at the top of the road, and our house
is the next house on the left.
From Tourist information office in Kirkwall, follow signs for Stromness
A965, on arriving in Stromness at the roundabout follow direction above
to Innertown Apartments.
Getting There by Car
From the Tourist information/ Ferry Terminal building in Stromness turn
right onto the Ferry Road, when you come to the roundabout, 1st left,

Getting There by Railway
Travel from main Scottish stations to Thurso, where a bus connects to
the ferry at Scrabster, or Aberdeen where the station is near to the harbour.
Getting there by Aeroplane
You can fly from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Inverness, to Kirkwall,
Orkney daily.
From Kirkwall airport, turn right on arriving in Kirkwall follow signs
A965 for Stromness.
Getting There by Ferry
Sailings from Aberdeen to Kirkwall from Kirkwall Harbour follow signs
for Stromnes A965, on arriving in Stromness at the roundabout take 3rd
exit then follow directions above to Innertown Apartments.
On arriving in St Margaret’s Hope on Pentland Ferries “Pentalina”
follow signs for Kirkwall A961 then A965 on to Stromness, on arriving
in Stromness at the roundabout take 3rd exit then follow direction below
to Innertown Apartments.
