From the information centre
Trun left and pass the Stromness Hotel, proceed along Victoria Street
past Post Office, the Orca is next door to the chemist, about three minutes
on foot. Space to offload luggage and instructions will be given on location
of free car parking nearby.
By railway
Scotrail from all Scottish departures to either Thurso or Wick or
Aberdeen.www.scotrail.co.uk
By aeroplane
From Kirkwall Airport we advise getting an island taxi. If renting a car
follow signs first for Kirkwall then Stromness.
British Airways (UK) either from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness,
Wick or Sumburgh (Shetland) to Kirkwall (Orkney). www.britishairways.com
By ferry
From departing boat - turn left and pass the Stromness Hotel, proceed
along Main Street past Post Office, the Orca is next door to the chemist
on the left hand side of the road (Tree!). About three minutes on foot.
Space to offload luggage and will get advised on location of free car
parking nearby.
