Cartomie
is a modern bungalow in a rural setting close to the scenic Dornoch Firth.
We are close to the village of Edderton with it’s Pictish Standing
stone, historic Old Church which has a preaching ark and another Pictish
stone in the churchyard.
These stones are part of the Pictish Trail, which covers this part of
the coast.
We are in a good position for visiting the north and west coasts, which
are approximately 2 hours away.
Inverness is 1 hours drive to the south.

Our non-smoking accommodation comprises two en-suite rooms: one double
with en-suite shower, and one king-size double/twin with en-suite bath/shower.

Both rooms are equipped with hairdryer, television and tea and coffee

Getting there from the Information Centre
From Inverness you can take the train or the 25X bus to Tain.
Then take Lairg bus to Edderton.
In Edderton, 50m past caravan sales, there is a crossroads.
Turn right at crossroads and go through village past the Inn and past
the turn off to the Distillery, then after 600m around a few bends, our
drive is on the right.
We have a sign at the bottom of the drive.
Getting There by Car
From Inverness Take A9 north to Dornoch Firth Bridge to the north of Tain.
At the roundabout at the bridge go straight on towards Bonar Bridge on
the A836 for 2 miles to Edderton.
In Edderton, 50m past caravan sales, there is a crossroads.
Turn right at crossroads and drive through village past the Inn and past
the turn off to the Distillery, then after 600m around a few bends, our
drive is on the right.
We have a sign at the bottom of the drive.
Getting There by Railway
Tain is the nearest railway station.
Approximately 6 miles south from us.
Then take Lairg bus to Edderton.

Getting there by Aeroplane
Inverness is closest airport approximately 1 hours drive away.
From the airport go towards Inverness and then take A9 north to the Dornoch
Firth Bridge to the north of Tain.
